You are applying for ARCHER2 access via the HEC-WSI using the Project Access (PA) access mode (Summer ’24 call: Deadline – 31st May 2024). This access mode is designed for 6-month projects, starting on 1st July 2024, with a large allocation of units (up to 25,000 CUs) for project runs (there is also scope, within this access mode, for extensions and additional allocation units upon request). Technical Details and Requirements

Project Access (Summer '24) allocations will commence on 1st July 2024 and will be available for a 6 month period.

Do you require support from the ARCHER 2 CSE service, or HEC-WSI Support Team to port and optimize your code on ARCHER2? If yes, please briefly describe the support required. Please give details on your expected usage of the system e.g. size and length of your proposed jobs and number of nodes concurrently utilised, total number of jobs etc. Please use the online CU Calculator to estimate the total number of CUs required). Successful Project Access projects receive up to 25,000 CU to be used over a 6-month period so please ensure that your job requests fit within this allocation (unused allocations will be lost at the end of the 6-monthly period). NOTE: there are 128 cores per node on ARCHER2
Please give details of the data management and transfer requirements, incl. an estimate of the number of files typically produced by each job, the amount of data read and produced by each job and the total amount of disk required.
